Dr. Rafael Klingler is an attorney and notary public and advises his international and national clients in all areas of notarial services. He drafts and notarizes contracts in connection with real estate (such as purchase, donation, exchange or easement contracts, parcelling and unification of land) and prepares the documents required in the context of estate planning (such as marriage contracts, inheritance contracts, wills). He also assists his clients in the implementation of corporate transactions (such as amendments to the statutes, company foundations, restructurings, capital increases and decreases). In addition, he advises his clients and conducts litigation for them as an attorney based on his many years of experience in inheritance, real estate, corporate and litigation law as well as in debt enforcement and bankruptcy law.
Thanks to his longstanding experience as a conciliator at the Basel-Stadt conciliation authority, he is aware of the possibility of reaching an amicable settlement even if the initial situation seems hopeless, and he tries to realize this in the interest of his clients. Should an amicable settlement not be possible or not be desired, he also represents the interests of his clients in civil litigation before the courts – if necessary with the necessary persistence and patience, drawing upon his academic background in civil litigation as well as his practice at the Civil Court of Basel-Stadt.
